South Korean pop star Psy revealed to Italy’s L’Uomo Vogue in October 2013 that he recorded a new song with AEROSMITH’s Steven Tyler as a duet collaboration.
The odd couple hooked up backstage at a festival in Singapore in May 2013, when Psy tweeted a photo of himself with his hero
“So for the first time ever, I will reveal some huge piece of information, because I really appreciate being on the cover, so this is like ‘thank you’; and the big secret is… I just finished recording my next song with a legendary artist, Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. When I was in middle school, I literally cried when they were singing Crazy or Amazing or whatever, they were my lifetime role models, and now I am collaborating with Steven Tyler, what the fuck, man? (laughter) I love my life”.

In a follow-up interview, Psy revealed that the song was complete but being reworked from both sides.

The song has been completed, it’s finished, but both Mr Steven Tyler and I, thought that we need to make some changes. So, we originally wanted to release it now, but currently it’s being reworked.

He also said that the song was in the vein of the fun-upbeat Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way” remake from 1986.
Our motif was actually to do something like that again, that’s how we started out. And in terms of style, that song was made during a time with different trends, so this song will follow current trends, but the formats will be similar.

Psy also posted a shot of an Aerosmith set list upon which Tyler had written, “Psy, O yeah, honor and pleasure to meet you. Love, Steven Tyler”. Steven later posted a photo of himself imitating Psy’s cover photo.
To date, the title of the song they recorded together along with any other details have not been released.
