According to Steven Tyler, 8 songs were left from the Done with Mirrors sessions:
“We wrote Done with Mirrors in thee or four weeks. Teddy flew in to see us three times. When we finally flew to California, we had seventeen songs. Getting it down to nine was the hardest part.”

A tape labelled “Done with Mirrors test pressing” surfaced online during the late 90s. The majority of the tape is the “Done With Mirrors” album out of sequence, but in finished form sans for a few count-ins. While it contained a curious “untitled jam” as an opening track (that could be wrongly attributed to Aerosmith), it lacked any other real demos or outtakes.
“The Movie”: The Movie has to be part of the DWM sessions. They played a 2 minute instrumental live version of it during some technical incident at a show during their preview tour of Done With Mirrors (Fall 85).
